Victoria Vickie Morin

Rosary for Victoria “Vickie” Morin 73 of Tahoka will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Mass will be on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father John Rathinam officiating. Burial will be in the Nevels Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Vickie went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born on September 6, 1945 in Bryan Texas to the late Urbano and Maria Estrada. She married Domingo Morin on February 16, 1967 in Brownfield, Texas. Domingo preceded her in death on June 20, 2008.

Vickie was a homemaker, she loved to keep up with her home. She collected roosters as a hobby. She was a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church where she served as a  Eucharistic Minister for many years. Vickie’s favorite time was to cheer and watch her granddaughters play softball, she was very proud of them.

She is preceded in death by her son George Morin on May 1, 2018.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny and wife Lisa Morin of Tahoka, Michael Morin of Lubbock, two granddaughters Taylor Morin and Marisol Morin both of Tahoka, a grandson Jonathan Hernandez of Lubbock, a brother Robert Estrada of Lubbock, four sisters Maria Contreras and Janie Montelongo both of Tahoka, Pam Estrada of New Home and Virginia Zuniga of Lubbock.
