Thomas Butler

Viewing and visitation Mr. Thomas Butler, 45 of Lubbock will begin Sunday, August 4, 2024, 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening at Calvillo Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Anthony officiating. Burial will follow at The City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Thomas went to be with the Lord. He was born on April 9, 1979, in Lubbock Texas to the late Raymond Butler and Yolanda Camacho. He also had a beloved Stepfather Armando Moreno who he always viewed as a father figure and mentor. He was a dedicated truck driver for Yellow City Logistics. Thomas had a passion for simple pleasures like having breakfast with his loved ones, barbecuing, fishing, and traveling. His warm personality and dedication to hard work touched the lives of many around him, however Thomas will be most remembered for his kindness and for his unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Butler and Yolanda Camacho; a daughter Yaimara Butler; and a brother Mark Camacho.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his surviving family members sons Damian Butler of Lubbock and Santos Butler of Smyer; daughters Marcela Butler of Lubbock and Chloe Escamilla of Smyer; an estranged wife and friend Cecilia Cervantes of Lubbock; a brother Jimmy Butler of Lubbock; a sister Lisa Butler of Lubbock; a grandson Tobias Jae Cervantes of Lubbock; and his stepfather Armando Moreno of Lubbock.
