Later in life on May 16, 1971, Soyla went on to marry Amador Liendo Sr. in Tahoka cherishing forty-nine years of a loving marriage, before he preceded her in death on September 10, 2020.
Soyla lived a life dedicated to family and faith. She was a lifelong resident of Tahoka, Texas, a homemaker and the proud matriarch of a large family. Her family was her whole world, and she enjoyed caring for and spending time with them. Soyla was a great cook and another way she expressed her love was through food. She always delighted for family and friends to come and enjoy her special tamales and menudo, which brought comfort and joy to all who gathered at her table.
Her passions extended beyond the kitchen. Soyla had a playful spirit and found pleasure in games like Bingo and Lotteria, which brought her happiness and laughter. In quieter moments, she enjoyed watching the "Huaraches" videos on YouTube, indulging in the leisure of a good manicure and pedicure, or simply cruising around town with the windows down, tuning in to Radio Vida and enjoying the communion of family calls.
She was a devoted Catholic and an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Her faith guided her through life and formed the foundation of her character, shaping her into a person with immense kindness and compassion.
