San Juanita Espinoza

Rosary for San Juanita Espinoza, 73, of Lubbock, will begin, 6 PM Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. With viewing and visitation beginning the same day 1:00 PM-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, September 21, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Ramirez officiating.  Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mrs. Espinoza went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2020. She was born on February 1, 1947, in Gregory, Texas to the late Juan and Savina Rodriguez.  She was a home maker and a good-hearted person who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching novelas, and playing bingo.  She was a mother in the true sense of the word and not just by name but by everything she did. Every meal, every hug, every kiss and every sana sana was with great love and compassion. She will surely be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her loving memory include her two sons, Jesus Jose Rojas and wife Janette of Lubbock, Gonzalo Rojas Jr. and wife Jennifer of Lubbock; two daughters, Maria Carmen Silva and partner Joann Guzman of Lubbock, Soyla Espinoza and husband Juan Marcelino of Lubbock;  one sister, Isabel Rodriguez of Lubbock; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Savina Rodriguez; three grandchildren, Guadalupe (Bubba) Arrellano, Ricky Silva, Anjelica Silva; one brother, Felix Rodriguez.

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home.
