Salvador Salas Sr.

Salvador Salas Sr, 90 passed away Thursday, Janaury 8, 2015 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. Services for Mr. Salas will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg with Father Jacob Puthuparambil officiating.  Burial will follow at Petersburg cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.   There will be a rosary held tonight at 7:00 at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Salvador was born December 9, 1924 in San Marcos to Dalmaterio& Camilla Salas.  He married Vicenta Gonzalez on January 20, 1950 in San Marcos and worked as a self-employed vendor in the local flea market. He loved gardening and spending time with family and grandchildren.

He is survived by four sons, Ricky Salas, Daniel Salas, David Salas, Gilbert Salas all of Petersburg; five daughters, Camilla Hernandez, Valentina Chavez, Mary Ester Salas, Irene Salas, Lucy Grace Valencia all of Petersburg; thirty grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Vicenta Salas, one son, Salvador Salas; two grandsons, Alfred Chavez Jr., Freddy Ricky Salas.
