Ruben Perez

Viewing and visitation for Ruben H. Perez 67, of Tahoka will begin 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Lubbock at Rosary will be at 7 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Lubbock.  Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2 PM, December 30, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father John Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Nevels Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Ruben passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 in San Antonio. He was born on August 10, 1949 in Wellington, CO to the late Evaristo Sr. and Elvira Perez. He worked for Polka Lambro Phone Company for fourteen years as a repair man. He liked gambling and his main delight in life however was being a family man and a good provider for his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maria Ponce, Amaia Perez, Lupe Perez, Paula Ramos and Susie Perez; Brothers, Evaristo Perez Jr., Jose Perez and Elidoro Perez.

Survivors include his son David (Maribell) Perez of Tahoka; Daughter Denise (James) Devroe of Lubbock; Former spouse Gloria Perez of Tahoka; Six grandchildren; Five great grandchildren.
