Roberto Lopez

Rosary for Roberto Lopez 62 of Lubbock will be today at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Tahoka. A celebration of Christian mass will be on Friday, at 10 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tahoka with Father John Stephens Rathinam officiating. Burial will be in Nevels Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mr. Lopez went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. He was born on August 9, 1953 in San Antonio to the late Anastacio and Maria Lopez. He married Maria de Refugio Contreras on June 3, 1980 in Lubbock. He was a catholic and a diligent farmer for many years however his greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Fernando Lopez, Armando Lopez and Alberto Lopez; a daughter, Elizabeth Lopez.

Those left to honor his memory are his three sons, Robert Lopez Jr., Rene Lopez both of Slaton, Jason Lopez of Lubbock; his daughters, San Juanita Araceli Lopez of Belton, Maria Fernanda Lopez of Slaton, Zinnia Lopez of Lubbock; two brothers, Anastacio Lopez Jr. of Tahoka, Alfredo Lopez of Tahoka; sisters, Lupe Lopez of Beeville, Amalia Moya, Sylvia Mireles both of Brownfield.
