On the morning of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Robert went to be with the Lord. He was born on May 28, 1966, in Beeville, Texas, to Jose Maria Munoz Sr. and Maria J. Prestridge. Later in life on May 15, 1987, Robert married Beverly Montez in Tahoka, cherishing thirty-seven years of a loving marriage.
Robert had proudly served his country in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that shaped him into the generous man so many adored.
As a trucker for Jax Transport of Amarillo, Robert dedicated himself to his work, building not only a successful career but lasting friendships along the way. His presence on the road was unmistakable; you could hear him coming from a mile away, a testament to both the beloved truck he drove and the larger-than-life personality behind the wheel.
Robert was known for his big heart, caring and giving, he always made time for those in need, embodying the true spirit of generosity. Robert had a multitude of interests that enriched his life. He found joy in the thrill of bingo and the excitement of gambling, but perhaps his greatest pleasures came from delivering DoorDash, where each interaction with a customer allowed him to share a piece of his infectious spirit. A devoted fan of The Dallas Cowboys, he could often be found cheering passionately for his team, embodying the spirit of camaraderie that sports can bring.
One of Robert's most beloved pastimes also was playing with his dog, Kaido.
However, above all, Robert cherished the moments spent with his family, particularly the joy of being with his grandchildren. These times together were the highlights of his life, a testament to the love that surrounded him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Maria J. Prestridge (Feb. 2, 2025); Maternal grandparents Juan Sr. and Leonor Valverde; his paternal grandparents Emma Juarez and Oscar Munoz; also, by a granddaughter Nakiyah Salazar.
