Obituary:
Ricardo "Ricky" Martinez, 55 passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at his residence. Services for Mr. Martinez will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Slaton with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a rosary held at 7:00 pm, Monday, August 18, 2014 in Calvillo Funeral Chapel.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Ignacia Jaramillo Sanchez of Lubbock; three daughters, Rebecca Mojica and husband Ricardo, Cynthia Martinez and husband Robert Baca, Anjelica Martinez all of Lubbock; six brothers, Juan Sanchez, Steve Martinez, Donaciano Torres, Porfirio Martinez, Richard Martinez, Joe Luis Martinez all of Lubbock; two sisters, Gloria Sanchez of Slaton, Dora Martinez of San Antonio; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his ex-wife, Brenda Martinez of Slaton.
He is preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Cecilia Martinez, Mary Lou Martinez; his companion, Yolanda Saldana.
