Rene Ruel

Viewing and visitation for Rene Juan Ruel, 46 of Lubbock, will be Friday, June 5, 2020, from 10:00am-9:00pm at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 6, 2020 at 2:00p.m. with Pastor Juan Rios officiating.  Cremation will follow under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Rene passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born on October 25, 1973 in Abernathy, Texas to Roberto Sr. and Guadalupe Ruel.  He was a line producer for Diamond Plastics for many years. Apart from being a hard worker, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching his girls play soccer.  His family will always remember and cherish the love he had for them.

He is preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe Ruel (January 9, 2020)

Survivors include his father Roberto Ruel Sr.; one daughter, Venessa Ruel of Lubbock; three brothers, Ricky Ruel of Lubbock, Rudy Ruel of Shallowater, Robert Ruel of South Carolina; one sister, Rosalinda Ruel of Houston, two granddaughters, Meleana Espinoza and Meriell Espinoza both of Lubbock.
