A Memorial Service for Mr. Raul "Bullet" Reyes Beltran, 53 of Lubbock will take place at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church-Lubbock with Father Martin Pina officiating under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Raul went to be with the Lord. He was born November 24, 1970, in Lubbock to the late Joe and Benita Beltran. From his early days as a spoiled baby, Raul lived a life full of simple pleasures and genuine connections. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as an Altar Boy for St. Joseph's Catholic Church, reflecting his deep-rooted faith and commitment to his community. He had a special way of connecting with people, never hesitating to strike up a conversation with strangers and always sharing a joke or two along the way.
Raul was well-known for his talents in construction as a drywall finisher, he brought skill and dedication to every project he undertook.
In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching videos and drawing. He was an avid fan of The Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Tech Red Raiders cheering for their victory brought him great joy. Spending time outdoors doing yard work also brought him a great sense of pride and serenity. His passion for good food especially cheeseburgers was evident to all who shared a meal with him.
May Raul "Bullet" Reyes Beltran rest in peace knowing that he was loved deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and humor.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Benita Beltran; brother Rudy Beltran; sisters Estella Y. Garcia, Delia B. Pardo, and Elvira R. Herrera.
He is survived by his brother Joe L. Beltran of Lubbock; sisters Josie Salinas (Joe) of Lubbock, Olga Almaraz (Art) of Lubbock, Mary Ann Moreno (David Pena) of Lubbock, Mariana B. Jimenez (Hector) of Lubbock, Isabel B. Martinez of Lubbock, Matilda Ruelas (Michael) of Ft. Worth.
