Ramon Trevino

Ramon Trevino Jr, 67, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Trevino will be 10:00a.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at Our Lady Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock with Father Jim McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held 7:00p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Lubbock with a viewing Saturday 4:00-8:00pm and Sunday 12:00-7:00pm

Ramon Trevino Jr. was born July 21, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ramon Sr. and Elida Trevino.   He worked for the Athletic Department at Texas Tech for many years. He was a devout Catholic and enjoyed many interests and hobbies.  He enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, gardening, bike riding and was a collector of not only hats, but also knives, lighters and watches.  His greatest enjoyment in life, however, was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Virginia ; five sons, Ramon Trevino lll  and Florencio Trevino from Abernathy, Johnny Lozano and Lonnie Lozano from Lubbock, Jose Lozano from Corpus Christi; two daughters, Lori Perez and Lorraine Lozano of Lubbock; six brothers, Amador Trevino and David Trevino of Dallas, Ricky Trevino, Armando Trevino and Demetro Trevino, Arturo Trevino  all from Abernathy; four sisters, Aurora Cardenas and Renata Trevino both of Abernathy, Angelica Plasencio of Plainview, Adela Garcia of Hale Center; host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Reynaldo and Rene Trevino; two sisters, Sylvia Trevino and Rosaidalia Lopez; two daughters, Veronica Trevino and Leslie Guzman, one son Leroy Trevino.
