Ramon Diaz

Ramon Arroyos Diaz, 55 passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 in Lubbock. Services for Mr. Diaz will be 10:00 am Friday, June 23, 2017 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phill Bennings officating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Calvillo Funeral Home.

Ramon was born December 26, 1961 in Olton, Texas to Gill G. Sr. & Rafaela Diaz.  He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, attended Lubbock High School where he broke numerous records in cross country. He loved to spend his time fishing, riding bikes and dancing disco music.

He is preceded in death by his father Gill G. Diaz Sr.; Brothers Gill G. Jr., Eduardo, Martin; and a sister Marie Gill Diaz.

Those left to honor his memory are his mother Rafaela Diaz of Lubbock; Siblings Julia Diaz of Lubbock, Santos “Sam” Diaz of Anton, Diana Marie Diaz of Fort Worth, Marie Gill Diaz of South Lake.
