Rachel Garcia

Viewing for Rachel Garcia, 54 of Lubbock, will begin Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. A rosary will follow at 6 PM on the same day. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garcia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2020. She was born on March 20, 1966 in Lubbock, Texas to Ramon and Augustina Guerra. In 1980 in Lubbock, she married Ben Garcia.  She was a homemaker most of her life and a person with many talents.  She loved to play bingo, dancing, wearing makeup, sports; especially the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys and attending all her grandchildren’s games.  She was also an amazing cook her family will always cherish all her wonderful cooking. Most of all, Rachel enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Ben Garcia; her mother Augustina Rangel; son Isaac Garcia and wife Cynthia Perez Garcia; daughters, Miranda Garcia Arguellas and husband Victor James,  Tina Annette Gonzales and husband Rodolfo; brothers: Ramon Guerra Jr., Robert Rangel, Steven Rangel, and Billy Jeremiah Rangel; sisters: Sally Sandoval, Amelia Perez, and Angelita Guerra; ten grand-children, two great grand-children, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Ramon Guerra and a sister Betty Guerra Sandoval (Dec.13, 2016).
