On the morning of November 21, 2023, Prissy went to be with the Lord. She was born July 26, 1980, in Lubbock to Samuel C. Lopez and Linda Castillo Garcia; Later in life on November 20, 1998, she went on to marry Richard Luna Lara in Lubbock cherishing twenty-five years of a loving marriage. Prissy had a deep love for books and spent countless hours engrossed in reading. Word searches were her favorite pastime, challenging her mind and bringing her great satisfaction when she solved each puzzle. Additionally, she immersed herself in the mysteries of true crime by watching all twenty-four seasons of the show "48 Hours." One of Prissy's cherished hobbies was collecting crosses. Each one held symbolic meaning for her and became an expression of her unwavering faith. Another passion close to Prissy's heart was tending to her beloved plants. Whether it was nurturing beautiful flowers or growing vibrant greenery indoors, she found tranquility amidst nature's wonders.

However, above all else, Prissy treasured her family, and adored being a grandmother. Her love for all of them knew no bounds and witnessing the laughter and joy of all her grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to her soul.

Prissy is survived by her loving husband Richard Lara Sr.; sons Marcial Lara and Richard (Mary Grace) Lara; daughters LeTricia (John) Gonzalez, April (Mitchel) Skillman, Danyel Lara, Gabrielle (Terrance) Wade, Thalia Lara, and Neko Lara all of Lubbock; her parents Samuel C.
