Patsy Perez

Patsy Perez, 74, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in Lubbock.  Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Patsy was born October 23, 1943 in Abernathy to the late Luis & Gregoria Lopez. She married Francisco Perez on April 20, 1974 in Abernathy. A devoted catholic, she enjoyed praying for everyone. Patsy was also a humble homemaker and loved singing and dancing. She remained close to her family through her life, especially her sisters. Patsy’s family will always remember the love she had for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Reyes Trevino and Maximina Avalos; a brother Juan Lopez.

She is survived by her husband Francisco Perez of Abernathy; two daughters Julie and husband Josh Chavez, Laura and husband Chris Mayo; brothers Joe Lopez, Louis Lopez Jr., Gilbert Lopez, Mario Lopez, Richard Lopez, Bobby Lopez, Albert Lopez, Danny Lopez, Andy Lopez and Smiley Lopez; sisters Consuelo Torres, Juliana Hernandez, Juanita Rios and Mary Guajardo; grandchildren Reese Mayo, Bella Mayo, Hope Mayo, Emma Chavez and Aydan Chavez; A host of nieces and nephews.
