Otilia Garcia

Otilia Almanza Garcia, 84, was born January 28, 1936 in Barstow, TX to Roman Sr. & Delfina Almanza. She married Armando M. Garcia and was a home maker.  Otilia was a faithful Catholic who enjoyed sewing blankets, doing puzzles and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

On the afternoon of January 14, 2021, Otilia Almanza Garcia was called from this earth into the arms of her beloved savior. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Corina Flores of Crowley, Virginia Trevino of Rhome; one brother, Adolfo Almanza of Monahans, TX.  four sisters, Ofelia Juarez of Barstow, Josefa Segovia of Odessa, Consuelo Naegele of Bloomfield, NM, Lucilla Quiroz of Odessa; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Cruz Garcia, Armando Garcia Jr., Jesus Garcia; one daughter, Elodia Hanes.

Graveside services for Mrs. Garcia will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Deacon Joe Morin officiating. A rosary will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with visitation starting at 12:00 pm.  All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home.
