Norberto Anaya

Norberto “Norbe” Anaya, 54 passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at his residence.  Services for Mr. Anaya will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2015 at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating.  Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  There will be a rosary held 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel.

Norbe was born June 6, 1961 in Lubbock to Domingo and Guadalupe Anaya.  He graduated from Shallowater High School and worked in construction for most of his life.  On his time off he enjoyed dancing, singing, and watching football.

He is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Anaya of Lubbock; one son, Norberto Jose Anaya of Lubbock; three daughters, Rebecca Anaya, Minerva Anaya both of Lubbock, Monica Marie Valenzuela of Lewisville; six sisters, Guadalupe Marquez of Lubbock, Ymelda Anaya of San Antonio, Leticia Anaya of Lubbock, Yolanda Pedroza of Lubbock, Dominga Anaya of San Antonio, Connie Anaya of San Antonio; seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Domingo Anaya; one brother, Eddie Anaya.
