Miguel Yanez, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, TX, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 18, 2021. He was born on May 12, 1970 in Tarimoro, Guanajuato Mexico to Jose and Juana Yanez.
Miguel was a graduate of Dimmit High School and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Miguel was self-employed but had worked as an Applications Engineer for many years in Lubbock. Miguel loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and was always willing to help. He had a loving heart. Miguel was hardworking, honest, humble, and thought of everyone. He loved to eat and showed off his grilling skills at family cookouts and gatherings. Miguel liked to go hunting, but not to hunt, just to hang out with the guys.
Miguel is preceded in death by a brother Angel Yanez, maternal grandparents, Rafael and Maria Francisca Maldonado; and paternal grandfather, Jesus Yanez. He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Modesta Mendoza; his parents, Jose and Juana Yanez, a brother; Jesus and sisters Guadalupe, Juana, Cecilia, Esmeralda, Mary Frances, and Angelica; his brother-in-laws Juan, Adrian, and Daniel; nephews, Michael, Jaime, Juan Jose Jr., Hugo Adrian, and Christopher; and nieces, Laura, Clarissa, Claudia, DeAnna, Daniella, and Camila.
Miguel will be missed and remembered by many.
