Meliza Ramirez Martinez

Viewing and visitation for Mrs. Meliza Ramirez Martinez, 58 of Lubbock, will begin 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will take place at 2:00 p.m., the same day, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Meliza Ramirez Martinez, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated office manager, passed away peacefully in her residence on the afternoon of Monday, January 27, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1966, in Lubbock, to the late Augustine and Odilia Ramirez and graduated from Estacado High School. Later in life on March 24, 1982, Meliza married Adam Martinez in Lubbock, cherishing forty-one years of a loving marriage. From their union they were blessed with two sons Zeke Martinez and Eric Martinez, Meliza found great joy in being a mother and later a grandmother. Those who knew her will remember her deep dedication to her family and the happiness in the simple, yet profound moments spent at home.

Throughout her career, Meliza served as the office manager for Floors to Your Door, showcasing her remarkable work ethic and dedication. Colleagues fondly remember her as an enjoyable person to work alongside, known for her impeccable personality that brought warmth and kindness to the workplace.Meliza enjoyed engaging in crafts and painting, which were not only hobbies but also expressions of her vibrant spirit. Each brushstroke and each project reflected her creativity and deep appreciation for beauty, a testament to her joyful and giving nature.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Odilia Ramirez; her brother, Randy Ramirez; and her sister, Amalia Molly Armenta.

Meliza is survived by her husband Adam Martinez; two sons Zeke Martinez, and Eric Martinez (Alysia); a brother Jesse Ray (Cecilia Ramirez); and three treasured grandchildren all of Lubbock
