Mariah Castillo

Rosary for Mariah “Riah” Castillo, 22, of Lubbock will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock with viewing beginning the same day, 12 PM-9 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 AM, Friday, June 19, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Rudi Crasta officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Ms. Castillo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2020. She was born on September 19, 1997 to Johnny Ray Castillo Sr. and Cynthia Ann Lira in Escondido, California. In July of 2007, Mariah moved from Idaho to Lubbock. She was a high school graduate of Lubbock Springboard Academy and always strived to do her best. “Riah” never met a stranger, she had a big heart, would share anything she had and was always willing to help others. Her family will always cherish the memories they have with her.

Survivors include her mother Cynthia Ann Lira of Lubbock; her father Johnny Ray Castillo Sr. of San Diego, California; brothers George Navarro of Lubbock, Johnny Castillo Jr. of California, and Christopher Castillo of California; six sisters Marissa Navarro of Lubbock, Lydia Romo of Lubbock, Ashley Castillo of California, Angelica Morgan of Arizona, Kayla Morgan of Arizona and Brittany Castillo of California; Her maternal grandparents Benny and Cipi Lira of Lubbock; her paternal grandmother Rose M. Tamayo of California and a host of nieces and nephews.
