Maria Cervantes

Maria Isabel Cervantes, 19, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Ms. Cervantes will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home with Pastor Javier Castaneda  officiating.  Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  There will be a rosary  at 7:00p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home with a viewing starting at 11:00 a.m..

Maria was born January 22, 2000 in Lubbock to Epifanio and Brenda Cervantes. She worked as a clerk for Burger King on 50th and Slide. She was a person who enjoyed many things in life especially playing volleyball, basketball, playing hide and seek with her daughter, drawing, coloring and just joking around.  Apart from her many interests, she was a wonderful mother to her daughter.

She is survived by her parents, Epifanio and Brenda Cervantes; her daughter, Amariah Nelly Ferguson; two brothers, Trinidad Cervantes, Marcus Antonio Cervantes both of Lubbock; two sisters, Angelica Maria Cervantes, Rosa Maria Cervantes both of Lubbock; her grandmother Rosa Lee Flores of Lubbock.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Petronillo Lucio Flores and her great grandmother Maria Flores.
