Viewing and visitation for Margie Romo, 90 of Lubbock will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lauro Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the morning of Thursday, February 6, 2025, Margie Romo, a cherished caregiver, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister went to be with the Lord. She was born on March 4, 1934, in San Juan, Texas, to the late Luis and Juanita Loera. Margie's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and creativity.

Throughout her life, Margie demonstrated an unwavering commitment to caring for those around her. As a caregiver, she touched countless lives, providing comfort and nurturing to those in need. Her vocation was more than just a job; it was a calling that resonated deeply with her compassionate spirit.

Margie was also a person of many interests and passions. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was savoring a delightful meal, gardening, sketching pictures that reflected her vivid imagination, or writing novels that showcased her storytelling talent, she immersed herself in each moment with enthusiasm. Above all, Margie's love for her children and grandchildren was boundless. She reveled in each relationship, drawing deep connections with her family that will forever echo in their hearts.

As we remember Margie Romo, let us carry forward her love, compassion, and devotion to family. She is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Juanita Loera; a daughter Nelda Romo and a grandson Leonard Lino Torres.

She is survived by her sons Gustavo Romo of Lubbock and Tony Joe Romo Jr. of Lubbock; four daughters Nora Romo-Allred of Archdale, NC, Ellie Licon of Lubbock, Jayne Medrano of Lubbock and Norma Kirby of Lubbock; a sister Maria Hernandez of Alamo, Texas; nineteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
