Margarita Juarez, 81, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Lubbock. Services for Mrs. Juarez will be 10:00 am, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in The Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home in Lubbock. Visitation will start on Tuesday December 31, 2019 from 1:00-8:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am-8:00pm.
Margarita was born February 25, 1938 in Zacatecas to the late Refugio and Francisca Lujan. She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Juarez. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed life to its fullest. She particularly enjoyed playing bingo, watching novelas especially “El Sutan”, loved enchiladas, home décor, crafting and refurbishing. Above all, she loved spending time with her family who loved her dearly and will miss her eternally.
She is survived by a son Humberto Celis of Lubbock; five daughters, Imelda Lopez, Carolina Gonzalez, Gracela Lerma, Rosa Zavala and Sylvia Juarez all from Lubbock; two brothers, Manuel Lujan, and Jose Lujan both of Juarez, Mexico; one sister, Alicia Garcia of Woodrow; seventeen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son Octavio Celis, and a brother Jesus Martinez.
