Obituary:
Marcial Salinas, 89 passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Lynn County Hospital. Services for Mr. Salinas will be 10:00 am Friday June 27, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Edward Teo officiating. Burial will follow at Nevels Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a rosary held 7:00 pm tonight, June 26, 2014 at Calvillo Funeral Chapel in Tahoka.
Marcial was born July 3, 1924 in Cuero to Inocencio and Mari Salinas. Before retiring, he worked as a laborer for many years with the City of Tahoka. Apart from spending time with his family and grandchildren; Marcial enjoyed playing games like cards like Gin Rummy.
He is survived by four sons, Jose Salinas of Sun City, CA, Rogelio Salinas of Fredericksburg, VA, Louis Salinas, Tony Salinas both of Tahoka; five daughters, Anita Hernandez of College Station, Irene Xanders of San Moreno Valley, CA, Sylvia Caballero of Lubbock, Isabel Seneriz of TX, Rachel Salinas of Lubbock; one sister, Lupe De Jesus of Houston; eighteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Victor Salinas, Rumaldo Salinas, and Zaragosa Salinas; three sisters, , Felipa Caballero, Marcelina Naranjo, and Manuela Bermudez
