Manuel Sanchez

Services for Manuel Castro Sanchez, 58 of Lubbock will be Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Benny Guerrero Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Viewing will begin on Monday, June 1, 2020 from 5:00p.m.-8:00pm at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Manuel went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He was born on March 29, 1962 in Tijuana, Mexico. As a jockey, Manuel had a passion for not only riding and racing horses but also enjoyed training them.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and all that knew him.

He is survived by his mother Blanca Sanchez of Mexico, special friends Jim and Carol Ivie, Mark Guerrero, and a host of other close friends.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,

I have kept the faith.

Finally, there is laid up for me the

crown of righteousness,

which the Lord, the righteous Judge,

will give to me on that Day
