Magdaleno Garcia

Magdaleno Garcia, 82, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Garcia will be 10:00 Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Santos officiatring. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Calvillo Funeral Home. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Magdaleno was born May 10, 1935 in in Rosebud to Ernesto & Rosa Garcia.  He married Mary Gonzalez on February 6, 1956 in Rosebud.  He worked as a truck driver for many years for Lubbock Feedlot and he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Garcia of Lubbock; two sons, Mariano Garcia of Lubbock, Ricardo Garcia of Denver, CO; three daughters, Mary Garcia of Littlefield, Ellen Garcia, Lucy Garcia both of Lubbock; one brother, Luciano Garcia of Temple; one sister, Mary Garcia of Vernon; nineteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren.
