Lucy Perez

Maria ‘Lucy’ DeLaLuz Perez, 59, formerly of Tahoka, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Grover Beach, California.  Memorial services for Maria will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Tahoka, Texas.

Maria was born April 21, 1959 in Los Indios, Texas to Jose Trinidad Ortega and Maria Louisa Canas.  A devout Catholic, she enjoyed listening to music and crocheting. Apart from all her talents and hobbies, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived two sons, Juan Diego Perez of Tahoka, Sabino Perez of Grover Beach, California; one daughter, Maria ‘Lucy’ DeLaLuz Perez of Grover Beach, California; three brothers, Jose Trinidad Ortega, Juan Jose Ortega, Jose Rafael Ortega all from Texas; four sisters, Mary Palomino, Louisa Ortega, Rosie Avalos all from Texas; four grandchildren, Adisann and Jonandon Soto of Tahoka, Elena and Julian Perez of Tahoka.
