Linda Alvarez

Norma Linda Alvarez, a loving and caring mother and a lifelong resident of Tahoka, Texas, died on Saturday February 13, 2021 at UMC.  She was born on June 12, 1965 in Lubbock to Antonia Farias and Luis Segovia.  She married Joe Johnny Alvarez on July 17, 1979 and they lived beautifully together for many years.

Linda was a loving mother of two daughters, Kristy and Salena and the best momo (Grandma) to three beautiful grandbabies.

She is survived by her daughters, Salena Estrada and husband Andrew of San Antonio, Texas,  Kristy Salinas and husband Adam of Tahoka, Texas and three beautiful grandbabies, Ziylee and Wyatt Estrada and baby Sophie Salinas. Also, by a host of aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins, and bonus kids; Selena Castro, Maritza Morin, her dad Luis Segovia and many more.

She is preceded in death by her mother Antonia Farias, her husband Joe Johnny Alvarez and her son Michael Joe Alvarez.  She will be missed and remembered always.

Graveside services for Linda will be 10:00 am Friday, February 19, 2021 at Nevels Cemetery with Father John Stephens Rathinam officiating.  A rosary will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, February 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home located in Tahoka with visitation starting at 11:00 am.  All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
