Leroy Gonzales

Viewing and visitation for Leroy Gonzales, 57 of Lubbock will begin 2:00PM-8:00 PM, Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 3, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home with Jason Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Mr. Gonzales passed away Monday, January 27, 2020. He was born on August 6, 1962 in Brownfield to the late Armandina & Matilde Gonzales Sr. Leroy worked for 35 years for The City of Lubbock Animal Control Department, where he met his loving wife Rhonda Marett. He had a passion for fixing up and riding Schwinn Bikes. He would give his last dollar if it meant it would help someone in need. His family will always remember and cherish his loving, generous and helpful spirit.

He is preceded in death by his father Matilde Gonzales; his mother Armandina Gonzales and his maternal grandparents Erineo & Jovita Uvalle

Survivors include his loving wife Rhonda Marett of Lubbock; son Leroy Gonzales Jr. of Lubbock; daughters Ayla Gonzales, Katie Gonzales and Kellie Gonzales all of Lubbock; brothers Daniel Gonzales, Matilde Gonzales Jr.,  Erineo Gonzales, John Gonzales, Richard Gonzales and Christopher Gonzales all of Lubbock; four sisters, Sarah Gonzales, Laura Gonzales, Jessica Rodriguez, Mandy Gonzales all of Lubbock; five grandchildren.
