Obituary:
Prayer services for Juliana "Julie" Garcia 79 of Cotton Center will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at The First Baptist Church of Hale Center with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial will be in Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.
�������� Julie passed away on Saturday July 19,2014 in Plainview. She was born on December 18, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to the late Juan and Faustina Chavez. She married Gonzalo Garcia, Sr on September 6, 1952 in Cameron, Texas who preceded her in death on April 29, 1995.
��������� Julie loved to sew� and garden. She was a Baptist.
She is preceded in death by a son Emilio Garcia in 1964 and a great granddaughter Angelica Daniellle Flores in 2003.
Survivors include four sons, Gonzalo Garcia Jr of Hale Center, Verdalino Garcia of Cotton Center, Felipe Garcia of Austin and Frank Garcia of Lubbock, two daughters Susie Segura of Hale Center and Nina Castilleja of Cotton Center, three brothers Juan Chavez Jr of Garden City, Texas Jose Chavez of Herns, Texas, Matilde Carrillo of Lufkin, Texas, ten sisters, Janie Denoso,� Eva Kuhns, Cindy Ruiz and Ramona Martinez all of Temple, Texas, Elva Martinez of Houston, Texas, Mary Helen Fest of White Settlement.Texas Maria Teresa Sidon of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mini Bernal of Kyle, Texas, and Paula Barrows of Melbourne, Florida, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
