Juanito Castaneda, 69, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Lubbock. Services for Mr. Castaneda will be 10:00 am Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father John Rathinam officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held, 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 26 2019 in The Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home located in Tahoka with viewing starting at 9:00 am the same day.
Juanito was born January 6, 1950 in Beeville, Tx to Maximo & Romana Castaneda. He married the late Maria Zuniga in Tahoka and worked most of his life as a farmer before retiring due to health. He loved his dogs and was a great family man who enjoyed working on vehicles and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Juan Castaneda Jr; one brother, Maximo Castaneda of Tahoka; five sisters, Santos Castaneda, Candelaria Ygnacio, Cruz Castillo, Rosa Lopez all of Lubbock, Aurora Gonzalez of Ralls.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Pedro Castaneda.
