Juanita Villarreal

Juanita “Janie” Villarreal, 72 of Lubbock passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.  Viewing and visitation will begin Friday, October 22, 2021, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel (Lubbock) from 3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be 10:00a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel (Lubbock) with Deacon Joe Morin officiating. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Juanita was born June 20, 1949 in Wheatland, Wyoming to the late Domingo and Maria Villarreal. Juanita worked as a bartender for a number of years. She worked for a number of businesses including  Angels Lounge, Cactus, Sportsman Gamblers, Angies Place, Silver Dollar, R33, Office Bar, Texas Lounge, Longhorn lounge, Tropical, Cross Ties, El Tejano, and El Rosalito.  She was a hard worker and dedicated to her work.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Adam Lee Martinez (1991); two brothers, Damacio Villarreal (1983) and Domingo Villarreal Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory her brothers; Daniel Villarreal, Jose Luis Villarreal, and Leonardo Villarreal, all from Lubbock; her sisters, Maria Villarreal, Yolanda Villarreal, and Delia Villarreal, all from Lubbock.
