Juanita Sanchez

Rosary for Juanita “Janie” Sanchez, 70 of Plano will be Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Tahoka. With viewing beginning the same day, 10 am-9pm at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Tahoka. Funeral services will be Friday, June 5, 2020, at 10:00am at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father John Rathinam officiating. Burial will follow at Nevels Memorial Park in Tahoka. Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Juanita went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was born on June 20, 1949 in Mexico to the late David and Margarita Berumen. On December 26, 1970 Juanita, married Jose Sanchez Sr. in O’Donnell. She was a Catholic by faith. Janie enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing bingo, playing slots at casinos and doing word searches. Her greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with her family.

Juanita is preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Sanchez Sr. (2007) and by her parents David and Margarita Berumen.

Survivors include three sons Jose Sanchez Jr. of Plano, Arthur Sanchez of Plano and Rine Sanchez of McKinney; two daughters Rosalinda Sanchez of Plano, Mary Jane Castellon of Lewisville; four brother Elias Berumen, Joe Berumen, Tony Berumen and Johnny Berumen all of Lubbock; six sisters Maria Garza, Rosa Garcia, Mary Lou Ledesma, Aurora Jones, Josie Morales and Norma Alexander all of Lubbock; six grandchildren.
