Jovita Trevino

Viewing and visitation for Jovita Trevino, 76, of Lubbock will be from 1:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. the same day.  Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Father Martin Pina officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Jovita left to join her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.  She was born October 13, 1944 in Cameron, Texas to the late Antonio and Petronela Covarrubio. She married Primo Trevino he preceded her death on March 30, 2008. Jovita was a Catholic and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed cooking very much, whether for work or for anyone who was hungry. Her family will remember how she would always help anyone in need and her arms were open to anyone.

Preceding her in death are her husband Primo Trevino; her parents Antonio and Petronela Covarrubio; brothers Jessie Covarrubio, Juan Covarrubio, Lupe Caovarrubio and Steve Covarrubio.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son David Anthony Trevino of Lubbock; daughter Lisa Barrera and husband Robert of Lubbock; brothers Pete Covarrubio of Lubbock, Daniel Covarrubio of Lubbock and Joe Covarrubio of Georgia; sisters Maria Flores of Lubbock and Juanita Garcia of Lubbock; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home
