Jose Fraire

Jose Luis Fraire “Gordo”, 28, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Fraire will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  A prayer service will be held, 6:00 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in The Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home in Lubbock with viewing beginning 5:00 pm-8:00pm, Tuesday January 7, 2020 and Wednesday January 8, 2020 from 10:00a.m. to 8:00pm.

Jose was born March 17, 1991 in Lubbock to the late (Luis Fraire, Sr.) and Nancy Fraire, He enjoyed being a medical assistant, was a very helpful individual and would give you the shirt of his back. Jose’s hobbies included reading books, playing games and spending time with his dog “Luna”. His family will always remember and cherish his loving nature.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Nancy Fraire and George Benton both of Lubbock; a brother Luis Fraire, Jr. of Lubbock and a sister Anna Cowan of Lubbock.

He is preceded in death by his father Luis Fraire Sr., his maternal grandparents Alex and Virginia McHaney and an uncle Jessie McHaney.
