Joe Mata

Visitation for Joe N. Mata, 80 of Lubbock will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Mata will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Ehlo officiating. Burial will follow immediately in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mr. Mata passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born May 3, 1936 in Poteet to the late Guadalupe and Mary Mata and worked as a farmer for many years. He loved listening to records, watching television and was a very friendly and caring person.

He is survived by a brother Daniel Mata of Lubbock.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents and brothers Sam Mata and Gregory Mata.
