Imelda Salinas

Viewing and visitation for Imelda Salinas, 57 of Lubbock will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same day. Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church-Lubbock with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Imelda, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 19, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1965, in Mexico, to Jesus and Rosa Emma Rodriguez. In November of 1983, she married Jesus Jose Salinas in Mexico, cherishing thirty-eight loving years together. Imelda was a devoted Catholic. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Having a deep love for animals, she raised numerous goats, chickens, and dogs. However, Imelda’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father Jesus Rodriguez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Jesus Jose Salinas of Lubbock; her two sons Jorge Salinas and Ricardo Salinas both of Lubbock; a daughter Brenda Salinas of Lubbock; her mother Rosa Emma Rodriguez of Mexico; four brothers Raymundo Rodriguez, Cruzoscar Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez and Guerrero Rodriguez all of Phoenix, Arizona; four sisters Marisol Rodriguez of Mexico, Lucila Rodriguez of Mexico, Eusebia Rodriguez of Lubbock and Irma Rodriguez of Lubbock; five grandchildren.
