Ida Tolbert

Ida Mae Tolbert, 93 passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center.  Services for Mrs. Tolbert will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Lyons Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Wendall Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Calvillo Funeral Home from 6 to 8pm.

Ida was born February 9, 1922 in Marlin to Sam & Emma Waites.  She was a home maker and loved fishing, quilting, and spending time with her family.  She was a faithful member at Lyons Chapel and a friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Tolbert Jr., Earnest Allen, James Allen; five daughters, Ruby York, Eddie Mae High, Louise Yoder, Janice Kenz, Joyce Allen; thirty six grandchildren; sixty six great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Tolbert Sr.; her parents, Sam & Emma Waites;  three sons, Robert Earl Tolbert, Calvin Tolbert, Lee Tolbert; two brothers, twelve sisters.
