Gregory Dewayne Jorden

Viewing and visitation for Gregory Dewayne Jorden will begin Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a wake beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. A graveside will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Pastor Sam Holmes officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Gregory Dewayne Jorden, son, brother and uncle passed at the age of 58 on the evening of Monday, May 13, 2024. Greg a native of Lubbock, Texas, resided in Houston, Texas at the time of his death. He was born July 2, 1965, to the late Ross and Mary Jorden.

Greg attended and graduated from Monterey High School in 1982. He loved food, music and making others laugh with his jokes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents Ross Albert Jorden and Mary Leana Jorden.

Greg is survived by his three sisters Mary Katherine Blackwell, Lynda Kaye Holmes (Sam) and Vera Faye Jorden; a brother Walter Trea Moss (Kathy Jackson Moss); nieces and nephews Laterrian McBrewer, Terry Demond McBrewer, Rodric Jorden, Kiesha Jorden-Collins (Carl Collins), Aaron-Michael Palmer; also a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins.
