George Morin, 49, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his home in Tahoka. Services for Mr. Morin will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father John Rathinam officiating. Burial will follow in Nevels Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A rosary will be held 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Tahoka.
George was born December 27, 1968 in Brownfield to Domingo & Victoria Morin. He was a Catholic and the president of St. Jude Catholic Church in Tahoka. Among his other duties as a tire technician for Hernandez Tire Company, he also found the time to manage the band “Conjunto Rosal”. He enjoyed watching his nieces play softball and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father Domingo Morin on June 20, 2008.
He is survived by his mother Vickie Morin of Tahoka; brothers Johnny (Elisa) Morin of Tahoka and Michael Morin of Lubbock; Nieces Taylor Morin and Marisol Morin and a nephew Jonathan Hernandez of Lubbock.
