Later in life on September 19, 1981 he went onto marry Clotilde Pando in Brownfield cherishing thirty nine years of a loving marriage before she preceded him in death on October 2, 2020. Genaro dedicated numerous years of his life as a farm hand, he worked tirelessly for R.E. Janes and Gravel Company and most recently for Hawthorne Bros. His unyielding work ethic was matched only by his deep love for the land and the people who depended on it.
A devout Catholic, Genaro was deeply involved in St. Jude Catholic Church in Tahoka. He served his church community wholeheartedly, singing in the choir, lending a helping hand at the jamaicas, and conducting the children's train at these vibrant gatherings. His faith was not merely a facet of his life but a foundational element that inspired those around him and fostered a sense of unity and joy within his community.
Genaro's life was a tapestry of memories woven together by his hobbies and interests. He proudly embraced his role as a cowboy and found joy in practicing karate. But above all, it was his unwavering love for his children and grandchildren that defined him. Genaro was their greatest supporter, always ready to encourage and uplift them as they navigated life's journey.
