Frances Navarro

Visitation for Frances Santos Navarro 82, of Lubbock will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same day, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 29, 2021 at San Ramon Catholic Church with Father Rene Perez officiating.  Burial will follow at Garcia Ranch Cemetery in Spur, Texas. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel.

Mrs. Navarro was called to be with the Lord, Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born on April 13, 1938 in Spur, TX to the late Luis and Loretta Garcia.  She worked for numerous years at Levi Strauss, Textile Mill in Lorenzo, and United Coupon Clearing Home whereby she retired after twenty years. Frances Santos was catholic; she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting cooking and being a volunteer at schools and her church. She was also a member of the Guadalupanas.  However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.  Her memory will always be remembered and cherished by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Loretta Garcia; brothers; Pedro Garcia, Calletano Garcia, Lorenzo Garcia, Margarito Garcia and Andres Garcia; a sister Anita Olivarez.

Survivors include her husband Juan Navarro of Lubbock; one son Juan Alberto Navarro of Bastrop, Texas; two brothers; Willie Garcia of Ralls, Texas and Jose Juan Garcia of Spur, Texas; one sister Julia Puente of Lorenzo; two granddaughters Ashley and Katlyn Navarro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the San Ramon Catholic Church Building Fund. Facemasks will be required by all attending church services at San Ramon Catholic Church.

According to local and state guidelines, facemasks will be required at all times during visitation and funeral services. Temperatures will be taken upon entering funeral home.
