Frances Mendoza

Frances Vasquez Mendoza, 62 passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center.  Services for Mrs. Mendoza will be 7:00pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 with Deacon Joe Morin officiating.  Visitation will begin 2:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 till 7:00 pm.  Arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Frances was born December 16, 1954 in Slaton to Manuel & Abelia Vasquez.  She married John Mendoza on September 12, 1975 in Lubbock and worked as a monitor tech for Covenant Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed watching movies, playing with her dog, and attending bingo.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, John Mendoza of Lubbock; three sons, John Mendoza Jr. and wife Courtney, Joshua Mendoza, Justin Mendoza and wife Ashley all of Lubbock; her mother, Abelia Vasquez of Idalou; six brothers, Manuel Vasquez and wife Leticia of Wolfforth, Arturo Vasquez and wife Janie of Wilson, Felix Vasquez of Idalou, Eliseo Vasquez and wife Lupe of Lubbock, Abel Vasquez and wife Yolanda of Round Rock, Adan Vasquez of North Carolina; four sisters, Margaret Garcia, Vicki Garcia and husband Manuel, Liza Vasquez all of Idalou, Christina Flores and husband Fred of College Station; eight grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Vasquez (2014), one son, Isaac John Mendoza (1977)
