Ernestine Harrell

Ernestine (Neis) Harrell, 77 of Abernathy passed away April 21, 2016 at her residence.

Services for Ms. Harrell will be 2 p.m. Tuesday April 26, 2016 at First Assembly of God with Pastor Judy Wooten officiating. Family will receive friends and guests for a formal viewing from 6-8p.m.Monday April 25, 2016 at the church. Burial will follow at Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Ernestine was born May 28, 1938 in Lubbock to Ernest and Bertha Neis. She was a woman of faith, and loved to praise and worship. Cooking and spending time with her family were her main joys in life. As well as caring for stray animals in need. She was a woman of peace and never spoke poorly of anyone. Her last wishes we’re for her children to be saved once again through the church.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Roy Diane Blevins and a son Dwayne Blevins in ’96.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Darrell Blevins of Plainview and Ricky Harrell of Mississippi; Daughters Donna Tollet of Dallas, Velda Moses and Johnnia Harrell both of Abernathy; Brother Jimmy Neis of Oklahoma; Sister Maybel Tickle; Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
