Erik Rodriguez

Erik Rodriguez, 42 of Lubbock went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born September 3, 1979, in Lubbock to Juan and Sandra Rodriguez. In 2011 Erik graduated from Texas Tech University and went onto to work for ETTL Engineering, as a geologist. Geology was Erik’s greatest passion; however, he had also worked as an amateur storm chaser. In his spare time, Erik enjoyed playing golf, guitar and watching sports especially the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Juan “Johnny” and Sandra Rodriguez both of Lubbock; two sisters Amanda Rodriguez and Stephanie Rodriguez both of Lubbock; four nieces Alahzay Martinez, Mikah Torres, Natalie Medina and Emma’Lynn Acosta all of Lubbock; his paternal grandfather Pedro Rodriguez Sr. and his maternal grandfather Emilio Ortiz Sr of Lubbock.

Viewing and visitation for Mr. Erik Rodriguez, will begin Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 1:00 pm-8:00 pm. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Lubbock. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, 9:00 am, December 29, 2021, with Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez officiating at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
