Eloisa Guajardo

Viewing and visitation for Eloisa Guajardo, 93 of Lubbock will begin 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2023, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, with Rev. Hector Tavera officiating at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the afternoon of Thursday, November 23, 2023, Eloisa went to be with the Lord. She was born on April 28, 1930, in Ingleside, Texas to the late Trino and Refugia Ortiz. Later in life in 1945, Eloisa went on to marry Jimmie Guajardo treasuring thirty-four years of a loving marriage before he preceded her in death in 1979.

Her life was characterized by love, devotion, and unwavering faith. Eloisa found immense joy in attending church when she could and drew daily inspiration from reading her bible. Home was truly her sanctuary, where she radiated warmth and created countless cherished memories with her loved ones. Her spirit and love overflowed to touch the lives of everyone who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Guajardo; a son named Jimmie Guajardo Jr.; two daughters named Dora Licon and Dorothy Salazar; and a grandson Ben Licon Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Alice Saenz; by two brothers Emilio Ortiz and Raymond Ortiz; a sister Patsy Gonzales; twelve grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren all of Lubbock.
