David Hernandez

David H. Hernandez, 67, of Weatherford, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, in Weatherford, Texas.  Services for Mr. Hernandez will be 10:00a.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at San Ramon Catholic Church in Woodrow with Rev. Msgr. Tim Schwertner officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. Viewing will begin 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021, with a rosary beginning at 7:00p.m. on the same day at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel.

David was born December 29, 1953, in Tahoka, Texas to Bonifacio and Lily Hernandez. He worked as a lineman for Lyntegar Electric Cooperative Inc., for seven years and as an electrical contractor for many years.  He worked in the farm as a young man but also was a very good mechanic. He enjoyed life in many aspects especially fishing, cooking briskets, collecting knifes, hunting, raising Chow Dogs, and most importantly, loved his dog “Bingo”. David also had a talent for singing and playing the harmonica. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Bonifacio Hernandez (May 9, 2013).

He is survived by his mother Lily Hernandez of Mineral Wells; three daughters Tina Hernandez, Olivia Ruiz and Sonja Munoz all of Ft. Worth; his siblings Janie Medina of Lubbock, Ramon Hernandez of Mineral Wells, Pete Hernandez of Lubbock, Pablo Hernandez of Mineral Wells and Mary Ann Schwertner of Wilson; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
