Obituary:
Briana Nicole Gomez, 13 passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Cooks Children Medical Center in Fort Worth. Services for Briana will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Briana was born April 11, 2000 in Goodland, Kansas to Veronica Garcia. She attended Cavazos Middle School where she was involved in and enjoyed many activities such as the prestige honor society, theatre, mathletes, choir, and a trumpet player in the band. She enjoyed playing chess, piano and achieved much success in numerous spelling bees.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Veronica Garcia and Ben Sanchez of Lubbock; two brothers, Byron Garcia(Lori Balderas) and Juan Coyote(Crystal Coyote) both of Lubbock; a sister Vanessa Gamboa of Midland; her grandparents, Esperanza Salazar and Jose Soto of Lubbock.
