Visitation for Mrs. Belsabet R. Garcia, affectionately known as "Betty" age 70 of Lubbock will begin 11:00 am, Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. A Celebration of Life will begin 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2024, at Pentecostal Holiness Church (1111 36th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79412) with Pastor Mike Casanova officiating. Burial will follow at The City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.
On the evening of Saturday, July 6, 2024, Betty went to be with the Lord. She was born on October 28, 1953, to the late Crecencio Angel and Enriqueta Rodriguez in Nueva Rosita, Cohuila, Mexico. Later in life on April 17, 1968, Betty went on to marry Gonzalo Garcia in Plainview cherishing fifty-five years of a loving marriage. Betty led a life filled with love, devotion, and selflessness. She embraced the role of a homemaker with grace and dedication, making her home a sanctuary for her beloved family. She found joy in decorating and maintaining her abode, turning it into a haven where warmth and love flowed abundantly. Her passion for creating flower arrangements reflected her ability to bring beauty into the lives of those around her.
Known for her generosity and unwavering faith, Betty was a shining example of kindness and compassion. She enriched the lives of others by always extending a helping hand to the less fortunate. Her devotion to the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life, as she lived each day guided by faith and love.
Though she may no longer walk among us, Betty's legacy of love and kindness will forever echo through the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished beyond measure.
She is preceded in death by her parents Crecencio Angel and Enriqueta (Hernandez) Rodriguez; brothers Angel Rodriguez and Humberto Luis Rodriguez.
Betty is survived by her loving husband Gonzalo Garcia; sons Gonzalo Garcia Jr., Benjamin Garcia and Mark Anthony Garcia; daughters Enriquetta Delgado, Belinda Garcia, Rebecca Garcia, and Elizabeth Goodmen; brothers Saul Rodriguez and Johnny Rodriguez; sisters Julie Pipkins and Ruth Rodriguez; thirty-two grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren all of Lubbock.
